Our Seed Garlic has been tested at the University of Guelph for the absence bulb stem nematodes to ensure the quality of our seed.

 Russian Red Garlic

Purple Stripe

  • Not to be confused with the similar, but different family, “Red Russian”; I call it Ruso Rojo. Rich, fiery flavour, but not as spicy as Red Russian.
  • Medium sized bulb with 8-10 medium-sized cloves. A very hardy variety.
  • Storage:  Can store for 6-8 months.


Big Boy Garlic

Porcelain

  • A consistent producer that is easy to care for and is very dependable. As the name suggests, Big Boy is extremely vigorous and can produce high bulbs. The flavour is more mellow and sweet.
  • Averages 4-6 cloves per bulb
  • Storage: Stores up to 6 months.

Music Garlic

  • Most common variety grown in Ontario, and one that grows well in Alberta as well. Bold flavour, but less heat than Red Russian.
  • Averages 4-5 large cloves per bulb.
  • Storage: Porcelains are a good storing garlic. Expect 8-9 months.

Creme de la Rasa Garlic

Marbled Purple Stripe

  • It has all the amazing taste of a Rocambole but the growing characteristics of a Marbled Purple Stripe thus uniting the best from the culinary and farming worlds.
  • Averages 5 large cloves that are fairly consistent in size. Beautiful large bulb.
  • Storage: Good mid to long-term storing garlic, Expect 6-8 months if stored properly.

Red Russian Garlic

  • A bold, spicy garlic! A favourite here in Alberta for both growing and taste. It is a consistent performer in our fields. Averages 6-8 large cloves that are fairly consistent in size.
  • Storage: Good mid to long-term storing garlic. Expect 6-8 months if stored properly.
